Our Private Shopping Waiters will assist the Management team in running the Private Shopping areas effectively by maintaining high service standards and exceeding customer expectations. As a Private Shopping Waiter, you are responsible for offering a seamless and unrivalled client journey, achieved the moment our clients walk through our doors, through personalised attention, intuitive and anticipatory service, and in-depth product knowledge.
In line with outstanding hospitality standards, you'll be the gatekeeper of our lounge area, preparing all food and beverage components, from preparing coffee to serving champagne and snacks, serving Harrods' most discerning clients. You'll ensure the luxury standard of our private areas is maintained consistently throughout the department and that all areas are clean and comfortable.
About the Role
The Private Shopping Waiter is an integral part of the Private Shopping team where you will be based in our iconic Penthouse or Private Service Suite.
Below will be your day-to-day responsibilities:
1. Greeting clients in a warm and friendly reception, remaining attentive throughout their visit, and providing clients with prompt and efficient service.
2. Make each client feel special and welcome by ensuring a strong customer focus and a desire to always go the extra mile to continually deliver exceptional customer experiences.
3. Having a full and comprehensive knowledge of our menu, allergens, and alcohol list to enable you to answer guest queries quickly, knowledgeably, and in a discreet manner in line with the highest standards.
4. Organise and carry out all mise-en-place duties prior to and after service to the required standards.
About You
To excel in this role you'll have the following experiences and knowledge:
1. Experience within food and beverage or within events.
2. Ability to take food and beverage orders in a professional manner.
3. Ability to thrive under pressure and work with efficiency and pace to successfully manage all customer expectations.
4. You will be able to flex your skill set between bartender and waiter.
