Our Tier 1 client is looking for a Quality Manager to work on the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet Improvement scheme. This is a build of a 10 mile dual carriageway between Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, aimed at reducing congestion.

Important:
We are seeking a Quality Manager to join us on the A428 project. The purpose of the scheme is to address the problems of congestion, poor journey time reliability, and poor resilience against incidents between the Black Cat and Caxton Gibbet roundabouts. The scheme seeks to address these problems through the construction of a new 10 mile dual 2-lane carriageway from west of the A421/A1 Black Cat roundabout to east of the A428/A1198 Caxton Gibbet roundabout. This role is site-based.
The job is valued at £680 million.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Be a Quality Manager working on the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet Improvement scheme.
* Support project delivery through the detailed design, construction, and handover stages of the project.
* Ensure adequacy of the project Quality system, maintain, and develop suitable quality processes and procedures for the project, and ensure quality audits are conducted regularly with prompt action taken to close out audit findings.
* Demonstrate consistent approaches to quality management with other Quality Managers on the scheme.
* Own and develop the scheme Quality Plan to ensure it remains relevant, adequate, and suitable throughout all project phases.
* Be accountable for ensuring compliance with the Quality Plan and create a culture amongst the delivery team that reflects this.
* Support the Works Inspector in assessing on-site quality and ensure the site team delivers compliance to the assured design.
* Work closely with Construction Managers, Agents, and our supply chain to ensure inspection and testing requirements are understood, complied with, and the resulting records retained to provide the required construction assurance and meet handover requirements.
* Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills to diverse audiences.
* Have knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and common construction methodologies.
* Possess formal training in quality management and auditing.
* Hold a CSCS Card.
* Be a member of or working towards Chartered Quality professional (CQI) status.
