EPMA Pharmacist Band 8a Full-Time (5 Days per Week) Cardiff

Salary: £32 - £37 per hour
Location: Cardiff, Wales
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
We currently have an exciting opportunity to lead digital transformation within an NHS Hospital local to home.
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced EPMA Pharmacist to join its EPMA team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated pharmacist to lead the transformation of medicines management through digital innovation, working within a dynamic healthcare environment in Cardiff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and coordinate the implementation and management of ePMA systems across the trust.
2. Work closely with digital teams, clinicians, and senior stakeholders to improve patient safety and optimise prescribing practices.
3. Provide expert advice and clinical leadership, influencing the development of new clinical workflows.
4. Develop and deliver training programs to ensure safe and effective use of ePMA systems.
5. Support financial optimisation and medicines management as part of the ePMA project’s benefits realisation.
6. Lead clinical audits and drive continuous improvement in pharmacy services.
Essential Criteria:
1. Master’s degree in Pharmacy (MPharm or MSc).
2. Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
3. Independent Prescriber status.
4. Extensive experience in hospital clinical pharmacy.
5. Experience in leading change initiatives or working with digital healthcare systems.
6. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Criteria:
1. Experience working with ePMA systems or similar digital tools.
2. Project management or digital skills qualifications.
3. Experience mentoring or managing pharmacy staff.
