About us:You will be working with Hays Education, who are one of the largest recruitment agencies working within primary schools in Derbyshire & surrounding areas. We are currently recruiting experienced behaviour mentors / teaching assistants who are able to assist in the educational environment, encouraging both academic and educational growth in the students. Key Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in managing student behaviour and implementing behaviour intervention plans.
* Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who require additional support.
* Assist in developing and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with behavioural needs.
* Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student development.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with behavioural needs.
* Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
* Relevant qualifications in education or equivalent.
