The ideal candidate will demonstrate Avena's core values and contribute to the financial stability and future success of the business.Key Responsibilities
1. Creation of new contract invoicing, including setting up new customer profiles in Xero
2. Generation of ad-hoc invoices, repeat invoices and month-end invoices
3. Raising invoices for termination fees and subcontracted work
4. Processing invoices for WEEE rebate and paper bale collection rebate, including obtaining weights and rates
5. Managing invoicing and financial integration of acquired businesses
6. Implementing and managing price increases
7. Updating repeat invoices in Xero to reflect price changes
8. Removing cancelled customers from repeat invoicing
9. Raising annual duty of care invoices
10. Approving supplier invoices uploaded to Xero
11. Managing assigned CRM (HubSpot) system pipelines to resolve customer queries promptly
12. Upholding first response and resolution times in line with SLAs
13. Advising the customer experience department on termination fee costs
14. Assisting in covering departmental absences
15. Cross-skilling team members to enhance departmental flexibility
16. Supporting the Finance Manager in other finance-related duties
17. Investigating and raising credit notes for approval
18. Leading ad-hoc projects, managing queries and providing feedback to the business
19. Assisting the Credit Controller with daily activities
Qualifications & Skills Required
1. Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role
2. Strong attention to detail with a methodical and process-driven approach
3. Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software
4. Experience with CRM systems, particularly HubSpot, is advantageous
5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
7. A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach
8. Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
