Virax Biolabs Group Limited is an innovative biotechnology company focused on detecting immune responses. The company is currently developing ViraxImmune, an immunology profiling platform designed to facilitate the diagnosis of chronic conditions through T cell testing
The company is expanding its Research Use Only (RUO) product portfolio under the ImmuneSelect brand, offering peptide pools, ELISpot kits, recombinant antibodies, and custom services tailored to immunology, molecular and cell biology. This role will focus on driving the sales and distribution of these products, working closely with research institutions and biotechnology companies across the United Kingdom and the Eurozone.
Role Overview
The Scientific Account Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the RUO product portfolio, while building strong relationships with academic and industry researchers. This role requires frequent travel across the UK and Europe to engage with key opinion leaders and research professionals.
Success in this role will require a strong understanding of immunology research tools, excellent commercial insight, and the ability to collaborate across internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and sales growth
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive adoption of ImmuneSelect products and laboratory services, engaging with academic and industry researchers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
* Manage relationships with existing distributors and direct customers to ensure smooth sales operations.
* Provide product training and support to customers and sales teams.
* Conduct competitor and market analysis to refine sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
* Develop promotional campaigns, webinars, and conference engagements.
* Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
* Liaise with internal operations and R&D teams to ensure product availability and address customer feedback.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Biotechnology, Immunology, Biomedical Sciences, or related fields.
* Experience working with research institutions and biotechnology companies would be preferred.
* Strong understanding of biological reagents and their applications in immunology, molecular biology, and cell biology. Familiarity with major laboratory techniques, instruments and immunoassays is essential.
* Experience in sales or business development within the life sciences sector is desirable; however, we also welcome applications from researchers interested in transitioning into sales.
