Job summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurse/Physiotherapist/Speech and Language Therapist to join our exemplar Tracheostomy Support Service.This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner with enthusiasm, commitment, advanced communication skills and a desire to work with a well-established team to deliver a responsive & patient focussed service within this interesting and challenging speciality. The service provides acute and community specialist tracheostomy support throughout Norfolk and Waveney and is based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Main duties of the job We seek applications either from Registered Nurse/Physiotherapist/Speech and Language Therapist who can demonstrate a sound understanding of the specialist requirements of this patient group and have the potential to develop the required knowledge and skills within a Band 6 role which will include an expert knowledge of tracheostomy tube types, tube accessories and laryngectomy accessories, tube changes and management of associated conditions. You should have an up-to-date knowledge of current national and local guidelines and initiatives. Please note further fixed term hours are available for the successful candidate as part of the regional tracheostomy home care support service project.
