The Role As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our catering team. Your responsibilities will include: Food Preparation: Assist in preparing a variety of food, snacks, and drinks. Customer Service: Provide prompt and friendly service to all customers, ensuring their needs are met with a smile. Hygiene and Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. Team Collaboration: Work closely with your colleagues to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment. What We’re Looking For Essential Criteria: Relevant Food Hygiene Qualification (or willingness to work towards it). Minimum of Level 1 in Literacy and Numeracy. Experience in food preparation, cooking, and customer service. Excellent communication and team-working skills. Friendly, professional manner and excellent timekeeping. Desirable Criteria: NVQ 2 or equivalent in a catering subject. Cash handling experience. First Aid Training. This role is Permanent, 30 Hours per week (Monday-Friday 8am-2pm) This role is 35 weeks per year - actual salary is £14,703.95 - £15,079.95 As part of the recruitment process and in line with keeping children safe in education, we will conduct social media checks on shortlisted candidates.
