Dependent on experience It’s an exciting time to join the team here at AXA Health, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes and as part of this, we’re looking for a Project Manager to join our Delivery Practice Working as a Project Manager, you’ll be accountable for managing the end-to-end project lifecycle in a complex and dynamic environment establishing and implementing project governance whilst leading on the delivery of project outcomes for digital/technology-driven initiatives. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at either our Tunbridge Wells or Bournemouth offices, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing: Preparing and gaining approval for the project business case, clearly articulating the value expected and how the project will fully realise it Developing and maintaining the plan for area of responsibility and actively managing inputs and outputs against this plan e.g. Scope, time and cost Establishing the project team required for successful delivery, securing appropriate resources and managing performance through matrix management including effective resource planning Managing the project's budget, monitoring and reporting costs, raising appropriate escalations where needed Implementing effective governance framework and production of relevant artefacts in line with corporate governance requirements Reporting progress at regular intervals, advising project steering committee of any deviation from the plan Managing internal and external project communication Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we’re able to effectively manage interest. What you’ll bring: Strong project management skills including cost, quality, risk, schedule management, change control, governance management and end to end testing of change delivery Proven experience delivering multiple end to end digital/technology projects Ability to provide challenge and feedback to project team within a matrix management structure Good commercial acumen including experience of managing vendor relationships Strong leadership, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills Planning, budgeting and business case preparation experience Evidence of financial planning, analysis and budget management including use of supporting tools Accreditation in project management methodology, including Agile is desirable Internal candidates are encouraged to apply for this role as a secondment opportunity through the internal careers site.
