Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is seeking a strategic and ambitious Chief Executive to lead our Local Care Organisations (LCO) and University Dental Hospital of Manchester (UDHM) Clinical Group. Reporting to the Trust Chief Executive, this role will have an integral part to play in our future success as we work to improve the care and services for our communities across Manchester, Trafford, and beyond.
As part of the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in realising the Trust’s overall strategy while ensuring that the LCO & UDHM Clinical Group aligns with and advances the board’s ambitions. We are looking for a collaborative, partnership-oriented health service leader who is deeply committed to the potential of integrated care services and addressing health inequalities at the population level. You will bring demonstrable executive level experience in NHS provider settings, and a passion for the potential and development of integrated care provision alongside a track record of successful partnership working with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Overall accountability for the management of clinical operations within the Clinical Group, with a relentless focus on providing high-quality, safe, efficient, and financially sustainable patient services.
• Ensuring that the Clinical Group plays a full strategic and operational role across MFT and the wider health and social care system.
• Championing and strengthening the integration of Community Health Services and Adult Social Care provision in accordance with Section 75 arrangements at both Manchester City Council and Trafford Borough Council, including acting as an Officer of Manchester City Council.
• Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including local, regional, and national commissioners, neighbouring healthcare providers, local authorities, the voluntary sector, and other relevant organisations in the community.
• Leading as an integral member of MFT’s Wider Leadership Team providing advice, supporting and leadership/sharing responsibility and accountability for the development of strategy and operational delivery across the whole organisation.
• Working as a dynamic, innovative, compassionate, and inclusive leader, using a positive, strong influencing and coaching style to inspire, motivate, and give confidence to all staff who work within the Clinical Group.
