Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for two Paralegals with experience in Digital Forensics for a UK Financial Regulatory body. To fulfil the requirements for ISO17025 accreditation, the Quality Management Team are recruiting two individuals to undertake the reviewing hybrid archived data, as well as current data undergoing investigations.
Location – London (80% office based)
Contract – 4 months
Pay rate - £22.96 PAYE / £29.55 UMB
Main duties and responsibilities
* Standardize Procedures: Develop a clear archiving policy in line with the FSR Code, ISO 17025 and FCA Policies.
* Use technological solutions where possible to automate data archiving and retrieval, working with inhouse tools and developing them to ensure they meet requirements.
* Developing robust case ontology to help organise complex data more effectively.
* Monitor Access: Track and log who accesses the archive for security purposes.
* Plan for Scalability: Ensure the archival system can grow with the Digital Forensic Unit and the FCA’s remit.
* Backup Archives: Maintain backups of both digital and physical archives for redundancy
* Optimising Performance: Identifying areas for improvement and providing actionable insights to enhance productivity, efficiency, or effectiveness.
* Problem-Solving: Diagnosing underlying causes of performance gaps and recommending solutions.
* Working closely with the Quality Assurance Manager, DFU Manager and Performance Analyst to achieve compliance to the FSR Code and ISO 17025 requirements.
Person Specification
Minimum
* Prior experience in a role that has required strong organisational skills, with proven ability to manage a varied workload.
* Experience in investigating and assessing information from a range of different sources.
* Have experience working with LPP material within a law enforcement, legal or financial organisation.
Essential
* Have strong attention to detail skills, ensuring data accuracy and reliability, ability to note inconsistencies or errors in datasets.
* Have good communication skills, be adaptable and present findings clearly and concisely to wider range of stakeholders.
* Be able to manage multiple projects and meeting deadlines and coordinate with different teams or departments for data collection and implementation.
* Have a problem-solving mindset, identifying root causes of performance issues and make suitable recommendations that are practical and innovative solutions.
* Be adaptable, be able to handle changing priorities and dynamic environments and learning new tools and methods as required.
* A good team player who demonstrates an inclusive approach, and the ability to influence to deliver shared goals.
* Ability to maintain focus on achieving desired outcomes.
* Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills, including proven ability to work under pressure on a diverse set of priorities, tasks and issues.
Desirable
* Experience working in a digital forensic environment, familiar with digital forensic outputs from the following tools: Cellebrite, Magnet, MSAB, Nuix, FTK (list is not exhaustive)
* Knowledge of Ontology and Taxonomy within information science and computer science, ability to organise data, defining objects and creating hierarchies of categories and classes.
