Material Demand Planner
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Demand Planner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for forecasting demand, ensuring timely material availability and optimising inventory levels to support production and customer needs. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and experience in supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning Raw Material Requirements: Using a demand plan forecast and historical data to plan inbound stock requirements, ensuring the right products are available at the right time to meet demand and support growth.
* Supplier Relationship Management: Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure smooth and timely supply of goods. Be the key contact point for any supply-related issues.
* Inventory Levels: Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure production is efficient and taking into account working capital.
* Purchase Order Management: Raise and manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring they are processed in line with demand forecasts and production plans.
* Supplier Performance: Assessing and improving supplier performance, focusing on On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery to maintain consistent raw material availability.
* Collaboration: Working closely with key stakeholders in the business to develop short and long term demand forecast.
* Supplier Invoicing: Resolution of discrepancies, and work closely with finance team.
Ideal Candidate Traits
* 2+ years experience in demand planning, inventory management or supply chain management.
* Strong understanding of stock management and optimising stock levels.
* Analytical and organised with strong decision making skills with a key eye for detail
* Excellent communication, teamworking and relationship-building skills, with a focus on managing supplier partnerships.
* Proficiency in Exceland tools like Power BI and Microsoft NAV ERP is desirable but not essential
