The Role:
The Community Ambassador (CA) will be responsible for all sales activity within their assigned projects – all relating to the build footprints we currently have and will have in future. This will also include any wider opportunities which have been authorised by Head of Sales.
They will be responsible for delivering agreed sales budgets and targets. Some projects will require you to work away from home; the CA with planning will structure their time effectively aligning workload to the business needs and requests. The CA will report to the Region Sales Manager, whilst also effectively communicating and following direction from Head of National Sales & the Regional Admin Manager. Working alongside the admin manager to ensure your time is utilised most effectively.
Sales commissions will be payable to CAs, this will be subject to Head of Sales approval.
CAs will be supported as required by RSM and Regional Admin Manager; marketing (incl digital), communications, telesales and leadership. They will provide the information and service you require to maximise sales performance. All communications including community events, artwork, materials etc will be authorised by Head of Sales/Regional Admin Manager.
Responsibilities
* Constant monitoring of performance against targets.
* Produce a sales strategy and clear goal setting to deliver required level of results.
* Increase B2B broadband sales by visiting businesses to convert them to our network.
* Maximise sales for the most efficient time & cost investment.
* Build and maintain relationships with local people of influence (public sector, private sector & local people of influence).
* Understand what key drivers exist in the rural communities we serve and use such to inform your sales strategies. Ensure this information is shared amongst the business support teams.
* Effectively use the support services within the businesses to deliver your strategies. Ensure clear & timely communication is used with them.
* Maintain working relationships with all parts of the business to ensure a sales plan is delivered as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
* Ensure all CRM activity is collected and reported properly on our relevant platforms.
* Keeping up to date with changes within the business and follow all key sales and marketing processes.
* Be a positive, timely and clear communicator.
* Participate proactively in meetings.
* Be a team player and support your colleagues as and when required.
Objectives
* Deliver budgets & sales targets.
* Be the key communicator and influencer in our build areas across the country.
* Develop, communicate & deliver site strategies to support delivery of budgets.
* Liaise, communicate, and positively work with the support teams throughout the business.
* Work away from home to maximise growth in relationships & sales in unallocated projects.
Qualifications/Experience:
* A track record of career sales preferred, including demonstrable success.
* Ability to prioritise work and manage time effectively.
* Good verbal & written communication skills.
* The ability to plan, communicate & implement strategic sales plans.
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to come up with solutions and ideas.
* Ability to work under pressure and exceed targets.
* Ability to work independently but perform equally well in a team.
* Ability to provide candid and accurate feedback to the wider business.
* Experience in use of Salesforce (preferred).
* Results orientated attitude.
* Organised, assertive with good attention to detail.
* Ideally knowledge of the telecoms/Fibre sector (Not Essential).
* Good experience in working to deadlines and delivery of budgets.
