Job Description
Human Capital Partners are working exclusively with a national building services company to appoint their Finance Business Partner. This is a newly created role to support the next phase of their growth. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with Regional Directors & Managing Directors, providing financial support to commercial decision making. You will support the organization in realizing its strategic objectives through insightful, value-added analysis and proactive commercial challenges.
This is a pivotal role within the organization. Within this role you will be expected to provide financial information, tools, analysis and insight to executives, challenging their thinking, helping them make more informed decisions and driving business strategy. You will partner with teams from all divisions, from finance to operations, to drive financial insight, streamline processes and ensure all continually improve.
Key Responsibilities:
* building partnerships and strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams, and providing financial support to commercial decision making
* delivering analysis and insight on business opportunities
* providing options and scenarios for business decisions
* conducting market research studies and analysis to assess current market trends
* presenting financial performance, full-year forecasts and budget variances, including understanding financial opportunities and risk
* Lead the implementation and integration of new systems and processes.
* challenging current ways of working and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation between accounts and trading divisions.
* driving efficiencies and cost savings wherever possible across the organisation.
* dealing with and working through issues of conflict and operational challenges with project teams and other stakeholders
* understanding the cost drivers of the business and providing insight to non-finance members. Including but not limited to tendering for new contracts
Person Specification
To be considered for this role you must have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively to explain financial concepts to and collaborate with non-finance staff. You should be able to influence key decision-makers and think strategically. Excellent commercial acumen giving clear business insight, along with expertise in project management and digital analytical skills, are also required for this role.
