Are you an enthusiastic and committed Physiotherapist, who is passionate about rehabilitation in Intermediate Care, and can be part of our team in delivering the best practice to our patients? We are offering an opportunity to an experienced Physiotherapist to take on this intermediate care role.
We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Intermediate Care Service within Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. The service includes intermediate care beds across sites within the Rotherham Borough.
The role involves delivering rehabilitation and reablement to the population of Rotherham. The majority of the caseload being older people with a variety of complex conditions. There is the requirement to work flexibly throughout the intermediate care service as needs arise, and to contribute to a 7 day service.
The team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Specialist Mental Health Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Therapy Support Workers. The team works closely with a wider MDT of Social Workers, Nurses, Doctors, Unit Managers, care and enabling staff and voluntary sector.
Main duties of the job
* Provide a specialist high standard Physiotherapy service, including the supervision of band 5 Therapists, support staff and students within areas of work, primarily in the community setting/residential rehab beds and any other area as service requires.
* Manage a caseload of patients/clients with varying complex needs.
* Provide interventions in locations across the health community covered by The Rotherham NHS foundation Trust as required.
* Contribute to the delivery of services to meet Trust objectives.

* Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
* Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the county and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
Desirable
* Membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
* Completed recognised IT course e.g. ECDL/Elite/MOST
* Post-graduate qualifications relevant to rehabilitation

* Knowledge and understanding of national legislation, guidance and regulatory framework including NSF, NICE, Information Governance, Equality and Diversity, Data Protection, Safe Guarding, Professional and Clinical Guidelines
* An understanding of Professional Standards
