Caddy Group is seeking an experienced Groundwork Quantity Surveyor for our client. The company is renowned for delivering top-quality groundwork and civil engineering services across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, manage, and report on project budgets and cost plans.
2. Conduct accurate measurements and valuations of work completed on-site.
3. Manage procurement processes, including sourcing and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
4. Assess and certify subcontractor payments and variations.
5. Monitor and manage project cash flow, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
6. Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
7. Assist in the preparation and negotiation of final accounts.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual obligations and company procedures.
9. Support the project management team in delivering successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the groundworks or civil engineering sector.
2. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
3. Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
4. Proficiency in using relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, QS software).
5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
7. Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field (e.g., BSc in Quantity Surveying, RICS accredited degree).
8. Full UK driving license.
