Description
The Packaging Quality & Innovation Manager will:
1. Lead and manage a diverse team across Quality Assurance and site Laboratory
2. Liaise with various departments to ensure smooth operations
3. Monitor and oversee testing of all raw materials
4. Identify opportunities for process and system enhancements
5. Coordinate and oversee process improvement initiatives
6. Cost reduction and rationalisation of raw materials
7. Foster strong relationships with our raw material suppliers to ensure we are at the forefront of new developments
8. Construct and manage a database of product testing information
9. R&D on papers and recipes in relation to product performance
10. Support investigation of quality complaints to establish root cause and develop future controls
Profile
The successful Packaging Quality & Innovation Manager will possess a range of the following:
1. Proven experience within a Laboratory Services or Product Development position
2. Experience within the paper, packaging or ink manufacturing industries
3. Proven experience in an operational management role within a fast-paced manufacturing business
4. Strong leadership and team management skills
5. Ability to communicate across all levels and functions within a business
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers
