Job summary The Theatre Department in Prince Charles Hospital is looking for a Theatre Practitioner to join their busy team. The successful applicant must have an in depth knowledge of the health service with first level Nursing registration or the Operating Department Practitioner qualification.The applicant must demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. The successful applicant must be dynamic and pro-active, and be flexible to changing work demands. Main duties of the job To act as a scrub practitioner/circulating practitioner for the whole range of surgical specialties. The post holder will be expected to: work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality patientfocused perioperative care to patients. meet the care needs of patients. carry out a full range of registered heath care professional duties, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's condition and care with support from the practitioner in charge as required monitor and respond to patients.
