(Please see full job description attached) Job purpose: The post-holder is responsible for developing the Charitys long term fundraising and income development strategy; and supporting a business plan that supports the Trusts long term objectives. The role has strategic and operational responsibility for optimising income generation whilst ensuring the Charity complies with the law and regulations in respect of its fundraising function. Acting as an ambassador for the Charity, the head of fundraising also provides a public face to campaigns and builds relationships with stakeholders in and outside the Trust. The role is a key link between the charity and internal and external stakeholders, and plays a key part in motivating and engaging volunteers, staff, beneficiaries and prospective donors. KEY TASKS: Key responsibilities: Role specific Undertake the role of being the organisations lead expert regarding charitable fundraising and associated governance and organisational activity. Lead and shape the development of the fundraising function at My WiSH Charity Develop and implement a fundraising strategy and plan, and annual income budget Establish partnership working in relation to fundraising across the Trust and explore possibilities for further collaboration as the Trust strategy develops Supply regular fundraising reports to the charitable funds committee Ensure the proper and effective management of the Trusts resources and provide the necessary accountability for their use. Establish policies and policy frameworks in relation to the usage of charitable funds and associated activities, that impacts across the entire organisation of West Suffolk NHS FT. Operate within the annual budget and ensure fundraising policies and procedures are up to date
