We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Catering Manager to join us at the Beechwood Kitchen in Queen Elizabeth Country Park. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your experience and, under the direction of the Catering Manager, lead the team in this modern, light-filled space serving good mood food and the best flat whites this side of the South Downs. Think hearty breakfasts, vibrant salads and freshly made food using quality, local ingredients.
With previous catering experience, you will have a successful track record of working in a similar environment. You must have good people skills as well as a good understanding of budgeting, rotas, ordering, record keeping and stock control, some kitchen experience would also be an advantage. You will have a key eye for detail and immaculate personal presentation. You will be highly organised and have excellent communication skills with a willingness to be hands on, putting the customer at the heart of everything you do. You will have the ability to cope in a busy environment, work well under pressure and deal calmly with unexpected situations. You will be enthusiastic, self-motivating and demonstrate a passion for great service and developing people.
This role is full time (37 hours) covering a seven-day operation, mainly daytime hours, with Sunday and Bank Holiday working paid at an enhanced rate. Additional seasonal overtime hours will also be available.
