Job Role: Water Resource Policy & Regulation Manager Location: Worthing (2 days a week) Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 benefits package About the Role: This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client's organisation at a time where they are driving towards a greener future. The Water Resource Policy & Regulation Manager will lead the Permitting & Compliance team in obtaining abstraction licenses, managing drought permits, and ensuring compliance with abstraction license conditions. You will engage with stakeholders like the Environment Agency (EA) and Natural England (NE), manage team operations, and oversee the application processes for drought interventions. As an SME in regulatory frameworks, you'll ensure the accuracy of water abstraction data, help monitor water resources and guide our client's business in its response to drought situations. About You: You will be an experienced leader with: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships both internally and externally. Expertise in abstraction and drought permitting regulations. Knowledge of Drought planning, WRMP, and WINEP. Experience in managing technical teams, including budgets and external consultant delivery. A degree in a relevant subject (Ecology, Geography, or similar) or equivalent work experience.
