Role: Supported Living Support Worker Here at Cartrefi Cymru we support adults with learning disabilities and vulnerable adults in the community to live a fulfilled and enriched life. We support people all over Wales and the support we provide is person centred and ensures choice and control. We want to work with the best people with the best skills and who demonstrates our values to: Be “remarkable every day” Location: Presteigne, Powys Hours: We have both full and part time hours available between 16 to 40 hours per week. Talk to us about the hours you are looking to do. This will be a mix of day shifts and sleep ins. Salary: £12.14 per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night. If you use your own vehicle to attend training for example, we cover milage at 45p per mile Contract: Permanent Interviews: We are looking to interview as soon as possible so would encourage you to apply at the earliest opportunity What you’ll be doing: In this role you’ll be supporting 2 males with our 24-hour supported living service here in Presteigne. You’ll encourage them to make their own choices about everyday things such as what to wear, what to do, what to eat, as well as bigger decisions such as where to live, how to spend their money or where to go on holiday. You’ll enable them to be able to fulfil those choices, including structured activities to develop their confidence and skills. They are both very independent and love to get involved with so many activities such as walking, paddleboarding, photography, voluntary work to name but a few. A big part of what you’ll be doing is pickups and drop offs to such activities supporting them help them to achieve their maximum potential and just have fun. The ability to drive and access to your own transportation is essential for this role.
