Electrical Testing Engineer
Main duties and responsibilities for an Electrical Testing Engineer
As an Electrical Testing Engineer, you will report to the Supervisor / Contract Manager, and you are the first point of contact between the business and our client. You must have good written and oral communication skills and have a high level of technical knowledge across the electrical industry.
Working hours are Monday-Friday 08.00-17.00 with weekend work and overtime available upon request!
The main duties of an Electrical Testing Engineer include:
* Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, servicing, inspecting, and testing
* Diagnosing and rectifying faults
* Carry out electrical remedial works
* Undertake new electrical inspections
* Action reactive electrical works
* Complete emergency lighting inspections and repairs
* Carry out company works as required and to desired standards
* Provide the highest level of customer care and always promote a good external perception of the company
* Comply with company procedures and policies to ensure smooth delivery of our service
* Produce reports on time and to agreed standards
* Adhere to the company’s quality management system and recycle correctly and responsibly
Experience & Skills
* UK Driving Licence (required)
* Experience in electrical repair, maintenance, servicing & installations, preferably within the public sector
* A sound knowledge of tools, equipment & materials common to the Electrical Trade
* Current Trade Qualifications
* Good communication skills, both verbal & written
* The ability to interpret schematics and electrical drawings
* IT literate
* A commitment to great customer service
