A significant level of investment into the business and 3 core programmes means you will be integral to developing a compatible architecture from the ground up, you’ll be trusted to design a portfolio with the most senior of stakeholders(CIO) that puts the technology on par with the most competitive FinTechs in the market. You’ll be strategic in your approach and visionary in anticipating change to ensure the technology environment is competitive for the long term. Giving you a broad remit but also pragmatic goals to achieve that you will see impact the business and customers. There is a significant opportunity to prove your value through tangible outcomes for a lynchpin of the UK retail banking space and leverage those achievements to advance your career in the organisation or elsewhere. The Business The digital arm of the business has recently taken on a multitude of projects that are both B2B, and B2C, and responsible for internal compliance and legal areas that are critical to business operations and supporting the stable and consistent provision of their services. Their services support up to a 1/3 of UK-wide transactions and provision an array of services that many of us interact with on a daily basis. A global presence means you will gain exposure to industry defining programmes and have the opportunity to advance standards within the industry through your work. This business function is made up of a CIO who will be one departed from you and a team of Senior VPs who will be a management layer directly above you, however, there are multiple opportunities for upward mobility. What You Need To be right for this role, here is a list of skills that will be required and desirable to be successful: Built the architectural model for a large enterprise, preferably within the banking space Strong understanding of architectural models, design patterns, programming techniques, and full-stack development practices Partnered directly with C-suite level of management on a frequent basis Built architecture at the function or enterprise level that integrates with third-party technology systems Knowledge of onboarding practices, KYC/Compliance, payments technology, or financial crime in relation to software.
