As a Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, equipping students with essential programming, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills. This role is open to experienced teachers, ECTs qualifying this year, and unqualified teachers with a strong passion for Computer Science education.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
* Support students' progress by ensuring they develop a strong foundation in coding, algorithms, and digital literacy.
* Contribute to the curriculum development of the Computer Science department.
* Encourage innovation and creativity through practical and theoretical learning.
* Engage in extra-curricular activities such as coding clubs and STEM initiatives.
* Monitor and support students' overall academic progress as a teacher and form tutor.
* Work collaboratively to raise standards of student attainment and ensure value is added.
* Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the wider school community.
Minimum Requirements
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent (for experienced teachers).
ECTs and unqualified teachers with a strong subject knowledge in Computer Science are encouraged to apply.
Ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons in programming, computational thinking, and IT systems.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
