What are we looking for?
A middleweight PHP developer with experience writing custom code and working with popular frameworks. (e.g. Magento2, WordPress, Laravel) Confident in working with platform specific best practices and developing bespoke code for in house platforms.
Please note this is a full-time office-based role - Applications for remote work will not be accepted.
Job Role:
* Work as part of an in-house development team specialising in web development and integration covering both frontend and backend applications.
* Develop and deploy web applications.
* Work alongside the technical support team to provide client and application support.
* Write and deploy code that adheres to strict technical briefs and requirements.
* Provide on-call out-of-hours support (Shift rotation).
Essential Skills
* Proficient with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MariaDB.
* Experience working with REST APIs.
* Comfortable using Linux servers and development environment.
Desirable Skills
* 2+ Years eCommerce platform experience (Magento 2, WordPress).
* Familiarity with Laravel.
* Knowledge of web server technologies such as Nginx, Varnish, Redis, OpenSearch.
* Experience with both Windows and macOS.
* Strong written communication skills for documenting work and writing documentation.
* Awareness of security best practices.
Remuneration:
* Office Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
* Holiday Entitlement: 25 days + Bank Holidays
* Salary: £40,000/year Dependant on Experience
