An industry-leading company in the Fire Protection sector is seeking an experienced Fire Stopping Engineer to join their dynamic team.
About the Role:
Key responsibilities include:
• Installation of fire stopping or fire protection systems.
• Utilization of ablative batts, fire barriers, and compounds.
• Carrying out new installations and remediation works to fire-resistant materials.
• Assessing fire stopping installations in existing buildings.
• Working in various environments, including student accommodation, hospitals, and care homes.
• Surveying and producing quotes for fire stopping works.
• Ensuring all work meets customer, company, and accreditation standards.
• Consistently achieving agreed performance targets.
• Keeping the Passive Fire Protection Manager informed of progress or potential delays.
• Maintaining cleanliness of provided vehicle.
• Adhering to the company’s quality procedures in all aspects of the job.
• Acting safely in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and requirements.
• Using One Trace apps to record completed works.
About the Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have:
• At least three years’ fire stopping experience.
• NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Experience with batt and mastic, fire barriers, and compound systems.
• Surveying experience.
• Knowledge of 3rd party BM Trada accreditation.
• Full clean driving license.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a busy fire safety team.
Willingness to travel for work and progress in the role, including training in fire door inspections
