Actuarial Expert - 24 months Fixed Term Contract Salary - £70,000 - £90,000 This role will suit an experienced, qualified actuary interested in leading a team of actuaries and analysts within for a key systems migration and 3rd party administration realignment project within Aviva's Life and Pensions legacy product area. A bit about the job: This project requires high detail Excel-based calculation specs to be written and tested for the system development team. These specs are written using a combination of actuarial first principles, product literature and engagement with the product managers. It is a high profile, dynamic and fast paced project which will appeal to an actuary wanting to push their leadership credentials and critical thinking ability. Skills and experience we're looking for: An actuary who is interested in learning more about the complex web of products and processes within Aviva's legacy product Life and Pensions area. Some prior experience of legacy product concepts such as conventional business, With-Profits, valuable guarantees, complex charging structures and more. Strong command of MS Excel (Visual Basic and/or coding experience not required) Enjoys taking initiative and thinking outside the box. Strong people skills who can motivate a small team.
