A quick look at the role.
To manage the strategic development of the Polymers Supply Chain including responsibility for inventory, logistics, service level management via order management and production planning across all Polymers sites. The role requires ownership of the Sales and Operations Planning process and will require cross-divisional interaction into the MRF and PRFs to ensure that value is maximized.
Your Core Responsibilities.
* Oversee the entire supply chain process for the Polymers business, from procurement of raw materials to the delivery of the final product, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness, including third party and on-site storage of material.
* Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company goals, including inventory management, demand planning, and logistics optimisation both in and outbound strategic plans and guidance to operations.
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure the best terms and prices, while maintaining quality and reliability standards.
* Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and production, to forecast demand and ensure product availability across all Polymers sites.
* Full management of the Sales and Operations Planning process across the Polymers business.
* Management of Production Planning across all sites.
* Management of the orders processes for customers and materials.
* Direct responsibility for Service level achievement in the Polymers division.
Requirements
Our essential requirements.
* University level educated to degree level in Supply Chain, Engineering or other relevant field.
* Experience managing multiple site supply chains including third party facilities.
* Highly experienced in the practical implementation of the S&OP process.
Desirable.
* Experience in Polymer Supply Chain roles.
* Previous experience of establishing a supply chain function.
