We are seeking a Communications, PR & Marketing Officer to join our team on a self-employed basis. The successful candidate will work closely alongside our CEO and wider team to play a crucial role in enhancing our visibility, communicating our impact, and expanding our reach through strategic communication, public relations, and marketing. The position is currently part time for 8 hours per week, but we are interested to expand the role over time subject to securing additional funding.

Position Overview:
The Communications, PR & Marketing Officer will work closely alongside our CEO and wider team to play a crucial role in enhancing our visibility, communicating our impact, and expanding our reach through strategic communication, public relations, and marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work alongside the CEO to develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to effectively convey our mission, values, and impact to diverse stakeholders, including participants, funders, partners, and the wider community.
2. Coordinate the planning, creation, and distribution of engaging content across various channels, including social media, website, press releases, and marketing materials, to raise awareness and promote our community music initiatives.
3. Collaborate with the CEO and Resonate team to cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and community partners to secure media coverage, interviews, and features that highlight our work and amplify our message.
4. Align messaging and storytelling efforts with fundraising goals and initiatives by collaborating with the Funding & Development Officer and Comms & Marketing Volunteer.
5. Monitor and analyze communication and marketing metrics, such as reach, engagement, and conversion rates, to assess effectiveness and inform strategic decision-making, adjusting strategies and tactics as needed.
6. Represent Resonate Creative CIC alongside the CEO at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to showcase our work, build relationships, and identify collaboration opportunities.
7. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in communication, public relations, and marketing, and collaborate with the CEO and Resonate team to apply insights to continuously improve our strategies and tactics.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level or have an equivalent level of professional training or experience.
2. Proven experience in developing and executing communication, public relations, and marketing strategies and campaigns, preferably within the non-profit sector or arts and cultural organisations.
3. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives, press releases, articles, and marketing materials that resonate with target audiences and drive engagement.
4. Proficiency in using various communication and marketing tools and platforms, including social media management tools, content management systems, email marketing software, and analytics tools.
5. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
6. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling and visual communication.
Additional Requirements:
1. The organisation is neuro-inclusive, and the ideal candidate will have a good working understanding of working within a team with colleagues living with ADHD and autism.
2. Demonstrate good organisational skills, patience, positivity, and a solution-focused approach.
3. The successful candidate will need to register with HMRC for self-employment and pay their own tax and National Insurance contributions associated with this role.
