An award-winning, well-established mechanical & electrical contractor, with a rich history of delivering incredible projects across East Anglia and London is searching for a Senior M&E QS.
Jark Cambridge is proud to represent this market-leading M&E firm that specializes in delivering projects ranging from Education, Healthcare, Leisure Centres, Gymnasiums, Bespoke Residential, Apartment Schemes, Student Accommodation, and Corporate Offices. As a Senior M&E QS, you will be based out of their head office near Stevenage and focusing on two large Residential schemes in Bow, East London to begin with.
Duties
The Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of our client's commercial & residential projects. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of M&E systems, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to lead a team of professionals.
1. Optimize project costs, implement value engineering and ensure value for money whilst still achieving the highest standards and quality.
2. Provide commercial and contract support throughout the project.
3. Produce cost plans/estimates to provide client detailed budgets.
4. Ensure initial cost plans are sufficient to carry out the works.
5. Analyze tenders to ensure value for money and that the works have been procured at the best market rates.
6. Deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.
7. Close out commercial, change orders and contract issues.
8. Perform interim valuations to ensure subcontractor payments are correct and made in a timely manner.
9. Forecast and monitor cash flow/accruals to ensure a positive cash flow is maintained, liaising with the client’s financial team.
10. Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken.
11. Produce cost analysis feedback/lessons learned to the client for future works.

Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field.
