About the role
As a Infrastructure Analyst (L1), you will work within our 24/7 team where you will provide rapid response and remediation to customer cyber security alerts and IT issues. As part of the 24/7 team, you will work on a shift rotation. Working alongside the wider Service Desk, you will work towards continually driving home technical solutions whilst putting our customer’s needs first.
Communication with customers will take place over the phone and via email whilst utilising fault-finding programmes that assist you to diagnose and fix customer problems remotely. Customer service is key to success in the role – living our values are woven through everything we do to guarantee that our service delivery is second to none.
What you will be doing
When on nightshift, you will:
* Monitoring, logging and triaging security and IT alerts and potential cyberthreats.
* Monitoring security and IT solutions & tools such as SIEM, EDR and network monitoring.
* Identify recurring security issues or technical faults, escalating to the appropriate team for future fault prevention.
* Supporting the investigation and remediation of IT and security incidents.
* Answer calls from customers relating to issues or incidents.
* Collaborate with other analysts to help respond to an incident.
* Prepare handover notes for incidents and issues for day shift analysts.
When on dayshift you will:
* Focus on your specialism (e.g. cyber security, networks or infrastructure).
* Provide IT support and act as a point of escalation for the End User and Quick Fix teams.
* Triage, investigate and where required, mitigate, and remediate security issues for customers.
* Promote best practices within security or IT.
* Incident Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of incidents to determine the root cause, extent of impact, and potential vulnerabilities that need to be addressed.
* Prepare detailed incident reports, including post-incident analysis and recommendations for improving security controls.
You will suit the role if you have:
* A willingness to learn and good attention to detail.
* Knowledge of SIEM/AV/EDR.
* Prior experience in an IT related background.
* Awareness of security technologies.
* Experience with incident response tools and platforms.
* Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, tools, and techniques.
* Ability to work well under pressure in high-stress situations.
* Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
The following certifications are advantageous but not essential:
* Microsoft certifications, BTL1, CompTIA Network+, TryHackMe, CompTIA A+, CCNA and eJPT.

Salary
£28,200 - £36,000 (inclusive of 20% shift allowance) (depending on experience)

Location and Working Arrangements
You will be based at Aspire’s Gateshead Head Office, with travel as required to meet the needs of the business.
Hours of Work
A shift pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off - with shifts alternating between day and night shift. Day shift will consist of 8-hour shifts, which are staggered between the below patterns:
* 7.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.
* 9.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m
* 11.00 a.m - 8.00 p.m
Night shift will consist of 11 hour shifts, which are staggered between the below patterns:
* 6.00 p.m. – 6.00 a.m.
* 8.00 p.m. – 8.00 a.m.
* 10.00 p.m – 10.00 a.m.
