KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Visitor services, admissions, events, catering and retail offer (including ordering, merchandising, sales targets);
2. Maintain high standards of hygiene in the catering facility and ensure HACCP regulations are adhered to.
3. Develop catering offer to encourage local trade.
4. Manage Catering stock take and wastage records.
5. Shared accountability for the sites KPI’s.
6. Visual Merchandising and maintaining a high standard of stock display and shop housekeeping.
7. Duty Management and oversight/maintenance of the visitor centre.
8. Liaise with garden teams.
9. Membership sales (to targets) and general customer service (individuals, education visits, other groups);
10. Health & Safety procedures, emergency procedures, and environmental procedures;
11. Deputising for the Visitor Services Manager on-site and off-site as required (including “duty management” of the wider site to include the car park and gardens).
12. Ensure the property social media is managed to generate interest, engagement and help drive visitors.
13. Support the informal learning and community engagement / outreach activity.
14. Housekeeping, maintenance and safety and security of the Property and gardens.
15. Liaising with contractors on projects and works on site.
16. Ensuring sites are clear of debris, rubbish etc and that signage is befitting of a Trust property.
17. Public engagement on site whilst carrying out duties.
18. Co-ordination of travel trade and group bookings.
