Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Administrator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our projects through effective administrative support. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, proficiency in office management, and a solid understanding of construction processes. You will be responsible for maintaining project documentation, coordinating communications, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of projects.
Responsibilities & Duties:
* Providing administrative support to Contracts Manager and site-based management to ensure the smooth running of projects.
* Compilation of on-site documentation such as construction phase plan, method statements, risk assessments.
* Support in tracking project progress and deadlines communicating with Contracts Manager and site-based management.
* Data entry tasks to update project budgets and expenses.
* Assist in project planning, scheduling, coordination and logistics of materials and labour.
* Maintain project documentation and records.
* Answer phone calls and emails professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
* Coordinate communication between project managers, subcontractors, and clients.
* Book, record and monitor all training requirements for all site-based staff.
* Schedule servicing, maintenance and repair of company fleet.
* Maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is well-stocked and functional.
* Clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents.
* Any other ad-hoc administration duties as and when required.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Previous administration experience, working in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience and working knowledge of construction administration.
* Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft office packages.
* Excellent numeric and literacy skills.
* Able to work with a high degree of accuracy.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to communicate with colleagues of varying seniority.
* Be able to work well as part of a team and able to use own initiative when required.
* Able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
* Willingness to learn and develop skills and knowledge.
* A commitment to work as required to meet the needs of the business.
