My client, an exciting rapidly expanding company, is looking for an Assistant Finance Manager.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in both manual and electronic record systems, and support compliance through account preparation and auditing.
2. Oversee month-end reporting activities, ensuring accurate KPI reporting, and assist in monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
3. Manage payroll activities, including timesheets and agency records, ensuring completion by deadlines, and handle credit control and debt management.
4. Monitor fixed asset expenditures, complete monthly financials, and regularly review and update financial policies in agreement with the F&B Manager.
5. Ensure client invoices are raised monthly, check all Accounts Payable invoices, and review cost centres.
6. Develop process guides for financial activities to support ISO accreditation, conduct variance analysis, and assist in producing monthly accounts and journals.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Professional qualifications from a recognised accountancy body such as CIMA, ACCA or AAT.
2. Experienced user of accounting software (specifically Xero) and competent with banking, invoicing, purchase ledger, reconciliations, journals etc.
3. Significant experience at a senior level to demonstrate competence in planning, delivering and reviewing annual budget cycles for a multi-site operation.
4. Ability to investigate and identify trends, provide commentary and recommendations to monthly management accounts.
