Damson House Recruitment are pleased to be supporting our client, an award-winning Engineering business who are seeking a Warranty and Service Administrator to join their busy service division on a permanent basis. You will provide sales, service and warranty support for diesel generators, UPS systems and specialist automatic vehicle transmissions.
Reporting to the Service Operations Manager and Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with managing, planning and organising the daily activities of a team of engineers in order to meet customer requirements, ensuring customers are kept informed of updates on work being carried out and supporting the engineering team. You will work alongside other internal departments to ensure that high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained.
Outline of Responsibilities
* Resolving issues that arise regarding customer orders and engineer visits.
* Processing engineers’ job cards to create and invoice to the end user.
* Using management systems and MS tools to operate daily activities.
* Being flexible with daily activities and working as part of a team.
* Managing customers’ expectations whilst delivering excellent customer service.
* Dealing with customer queries and issues.
* Processing warranty claims.
* Processing service and oil analysis reports.
* Providing quotations for planned service and remedial work.
* Liaising with suppliers and ordering parts and materials.
Experience and skills required
You will have previous experience in service or warranty administration, commercial trucks, automotive industry, plant engineering, agricultural engineering, or other service controller roles within mechanical engineering in addition to the following;
* Technical administration within mechanical or engineering field – advantageous
* Understanding or knowledge of diesel transmissions or generators and parts – advantageous
* High level of administration and customer service experience
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work
* IT proficiency – MS Office. Warranty portal (training will be provided)
* Organised, methodical and adaptable to changing requirements and deadlines
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
* Team spirited with a flexible approach to business needs
