Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for experienced Baggage Service Agents to join a well-respected and successful client at Bristol Airport. This job offers part time hours. This is a very enjoyable role with a great company, providing fantastic conditions and facilities.

Start Date:
* 1st April 2025 / 1st May 2025
Key Duties:
* Rushing out Bags including working out what bag belongs to which flight when tagless. This includes completing a rush tag, rush paperwork, creating a log in a internal system and getting the bag rescanned before handing to the BHU team.
* Creating on-hand approach for all bags received at the front desk, and tracing to find matches (unclaimed inbounds and bags missed the outbound flights).
* Tracing any missing bag files with all other airports and sending out the relevant information to the relevant airports.
* Receiving rush bags and sending them out for delivery. This includes contacting the passenger to advise, create a baggage delivery orders in WorldTracer, create the label on DHL website and close the corresponding file in WorldTracer.
* Keep a record of all lost property and deal with this accordingly to the companies polices and procedures.
* Supporting any passengers that require assistance regarding baggage and non-baggage queries.
* Taking unclaimed luggage to the passengers where required.
* Checking baggage belts for any bags left behind and rush bags.
* Chasing baggage delays when bags are taking unusually long.
* Creating reports using a variety of systems to keep record of any occurring issues.
Shifts:
The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a Saturday and Sunday shift pattern. This could be subject to change!
An example of the shift hours:
* Saturday - 1000 - 2200
* Sunday - 1000 - 2200
Requirements:
* Full Driving is preferred but not required.
* Ability to learn quickly
* Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to build relationships
* Knowledge of world tracer
