Robert Half is representing a leading global aerospace business on the hunt for a well-rounded Accounts Assistant to join their small yet effective team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a solid foundation in accounts to step into a fast-paced and varied role within a prestigious industry. The role is based on-site 5 days a week and offers up to £35,000, with travel paid for training in Europe. Key Responsibilities: Bank Reconciliation : Process and reconcile bank statements to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded. Invoice Management : Check, code, and book inbound and outbound invoices in line with company procedures. Payment Orders : Prepare payment orders for authorisation, ensuring accurate and timely processing. Credit & Collections : Manage the credit control process, including conducting regular credit reviews to ensure customer accounts are up-to-date. Transport Orders : Prepare and process transport orders, ensuring all relevant documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Customer & Forwarder Communication : Maintain close communication with both national and international forwarders and customers via email and phone. Admin Inbox : Oversee and maintain the administration email inbox, responding promptly to queries and requests. Transaction Recording : Record daily financial transactions in the internal database, ensuring all entries are accurate and the posting process is completed efficiently. Invoicing : Prepare, send, and store invoices, ensuring they are processed in a timely manner. Tax Forms : Assist in the completion of tax forms to ensure compliance with local regulations. Data Entry & Reporting : Enter data and maintain statistical records, financial statements, and reporting as required. Shipment Coordination : Coordinate and schedule shipments, organising daily and weekly transport routes. Administrative Support : Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the wider finance team. Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar role, ideally within an international business or fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, invoice management, and credit control processes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with international clients and stakeholders. Proficient in data entry and maintaining accurate financial records. Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team. A proactive and flexible approach to work, with a keen attention to detail.
