Procurement Assistant.
Salary: £24,000 per annum.
Location: Remote.
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week.

A bit about the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Action for Children as a Procurement Assistant. You will provide the lead responsibility for strategic commercial procurement on a wide range of large scale spend categories across the organisation and support changing the approach to procurement at all levels of the organisation, including maximising efficiencies and ensuring effective systems are in place to enable resources to be redirected to support the children, young people and families who we support.
How you'll help to create brighter futures by
* Applying professional procurement practices, informed through the latest developments and efficiencies in the field of procurement.
* Maintaining and updating the central register of main contracts as well as other appropriate databases for key suppliers and main contractors.
* Contract tracking and documentation.
* Working with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Procurement procedures and processes are adhered to in line with Action for Children’s Policy.
* Supporting procurement with tender processes and other procurement activities.
* Working cross-functionally, demonstrating collaborative and engagement skills and experience.
* Being an effective team player and capable of working without regular supervision.
* Communicating with suppliers to get quotes, specifications and quality information as assigned by the Procurement Officer.
Let's talk about you
* CIPS Level 3 or equivalent work experience.
* Experience working in the Third Sector or Public Sector.
* Excellent communication skills; oral, written and presentational.
* Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Excellent numerical skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
