Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist to join mental health service for older people Care Home Hub.
The successful candidate will be an autonomous qualified physiotherapist providing assessment, treatment planning and provision for older people with Organic and functional mental health problems, who have complex physical and psychological needs. Often these patients present with additional needs around frailty syndrome so you will be expected to assess using appropriate outcome measures and deliver physiotherapy specific interventions to address frailty syndrome.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will benefit from being part of a trust wide group of Physiotherapy staff working in TEWV, with guidance from Clinical Leads, Clinical Specialists and the Professional Head of Physiotherapy.

Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will be an autonomous qualified physiotherapist providing assessment, treatment planning and provision for older people with Organic and functional mental health problems, who have complex physical and psychological needs. Often these patients present with additional needs around frailty syndrome so you will be expected to assess using appropriate outcome measures and deliver physiotherapy specific interventions to address frailty syndrome.
You will be working closely with other professions in the inpatient MDT, contributing to daily teams huddle. Significant post qualifying experience in Physiotherapy including experience working with older people with complex needs is essential. Experience of working with patients with mental health needs is desirable.
You will be HCPC registered.

1. BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy with HCPC registration

3. Evidence of current professional insurance cover
4. Post-graduate training relevant to the post (or willing to undertake within agreed timescale)
5. Accredited Clinical Educator (or willing to undertake within agreed timescale)
6. Clinical Supervisory Skills course (or willing to undertake within agreed timescale)
7. Trust training in Appraisal and Recruitment (within an agreed timescale)
