JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Assistant Accountant / SSC Co-ordinator (Mat Cover) Job Location: Birkenhead Date Created/reviewed: 22/07/24 Reporting to: Senior Finance Manager No of direct reports: 0
Key Aim:
To assist in the delivery of accurate and timely financial information and maintain a robust control environment and culture of continuous improvement. Establish collaborative relationship with the Shared Service Teams, co-ordinating and supporting them to ensure the shared service scope is delivered.
Key Duties & Tasks:
* Support Financial Accountant with Monthly Close Process
* Finance liaison with External Shared Service Centre for AP Ledger
* Finance liaison with External Shared Service Centre for AR Ledger
* Attend and support weekly calls as finance representative with customer services / business managers and customers with regards to AR Cash Collection activities
* Manage AP On hold report helping to ensure the procure-to-pay process runs as smoothly as possible
* Provide wider finance support to help keep AP/AR ledgers clean
* Assist with cash forecast preparation and recording of actuals
* Run the Internal Intra-Netting process
* Process Ad hoc invoices/credit notes – hands on approach
* Process the Employee Expenses into the ERP system
* Create Manual & BACS Payment runs
* Assist with external audit information requests
* Carry out any other reasonable duty or task as instructed by your manager in pursuit of Faiveley Transport’s goals and objectives
General:
* Adhere at all times to the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental instructions and requirements
* Must have hands-on approach

Requirements
Essential
* 5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade A including English Language and Mathematics
* Strong IT Skills – Excel to a high level
* Previous experience of AP/AR ledgers
* Experience of working with ERP systems
* Ability to efficiently organise work-load.
* Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
* Strong analytical skills

* Graduate status
* Previous experience of using Movex
