This represents an ongoing effort to professionalise and streamline the finance function across the UK business.
The role of the UK Billing Analyst involves being a detail-oriented and proactive individual to support our finance team in managing payment processes, processing credit notes, and coordinating with account managers on invoicing matters. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial records in accordance with AML and Credit Control policies and will also ensure smooth payment transactions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with account managers at all UK Sites to address non-invoiced moves and unapproved invoices.
* Process credit notes for UK divisions in accordance with company policies.
* Take customer payments over the phone (credit card or setting up direct debit)
* Flag to the group Finance Controller where credit notes are required to adjust the sales ledger balance
* Work with the credit control department to ensure that customers have the appropriate credit limit required.
* Provide ad hoc financial assistance to other accounts staff.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Ability & readiness to communicate clearly, succinctly and politely with customers on the telephone and in emails regarding their financial dealings with the Company.
* Communicating with customers to take up front cash payments where no credit is available.
* Set up and manage payment options for recurring storage clients and new customers.
* Ability to readily contact colleagues internally face to face, on the telephone (or if necessary, via e-mail).
* Ability to work co-operatively and supportively with other employees as part of a team.
* Familiar with Excel, V-Look-Ups and Pivots.
* Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
