We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Public Space Manager to join our team in a high-stakes, high-tech environment located in King's Cross. This managerial role is responsible for leading security operations and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders at multiple busy PALs (Publicly Accessible Locations). The primary objectives are to ensure visitor safety, maintain site integrity, and uphold the client's commitment to exceptional customer service.
As a Public Space Security Manager you will have full operational responsibility for the delivery of exceptional customer service standards ensuring that the designated security team provides excellent hospitality and positive interaction with clients, customers, stakeholder partners and members of the public at every opportunity. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of those working at and visiting the venues as well as for supporting the day-to-day-operational requirements of the contract in line with customer and contractual expectations.
You will be a result driven people manager with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced changing environment. You will proactively champion security and crime prevention initiatives through clear communication, coaching and engagement with all stakeholders. Along with enhanced customer relationship skills, you will possess the ability to act decisively with an uncompromising eye for detail in order to safeguard the client's brand and reputation and to ensure that the venues are safe and secure throughout trading times. The role will suit candidates who enjoy managing “from the floor” and not from a desk. This may at times involve staying on site or in contact with the team on duty at unsociable hours, as required.

A typical day in the life as a Public Space Manager
* Delivering a safe, secure and attractive environment for customers, retailers and team members, ensuring the delivery of the public space security operation to the expected standard.
* Ensure that daily quality audit checks are completed in line with agreed schedules.
* As leaders in customer experience you will encourage and develop a passion for excellence in delivering exceptional customer service across the whole public space security operation.
* Maintain regular contact with the rest of the site management team, both security and other service delivery teams and deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner.
* Ensure full and active participation in the daily meetings and departmental briefings from your team. Communicate relevant and business critical information and objectives to the team.
What are we looking for?
* Experience in a security management role at a busy retail or mixed-used venue
* Proven track record of successfully managing stakeholder expectations and relationships.
* A good understanding of security trends and industry or government initiatives in the retail sector
* SIA Door Supervisor License or a higher security qualification or emergency services training
