The Live Action Original Productions team commissions scripted and unscripted series for Disney in the UK and across EMEA, with over fifty originals released to date. Recent and up-coming scripted productions include Dame Jilly Cooper’s Rivals (UK), a 70-part premium telenovela Return to Las Sabinas (Spain) and true crime drama This Is Not Hollywood - Avetrana (Italy). We are seeking a highly organised Development Coordinator to support the scripted team working across a busy slate of original dramas and comedies. Focused on administrative and creative support of the Original Productions team, this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to further their career in TV development and to gain valuable experience in commissioning for a premium streaming service. This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week. What You Will Do Managing storage and tracking of submissions Tracking material and updates across all projects on our development slate and through production of greenlit projects Read and assess new submissions and provide coverage and/or verbal feedback to the team Read and assess writer samples and track new and up-and-coming writing talent Read new development material and compile notes Support the Original Productions team in all creative-related administrative tasks, such as assisting with internal presentations, creating/reviewing/editing key documents on behalf of the EMEA team, and updating all relevant teams on key milestones for our projects Coordinate with other departments across Disney EMEA including but not limited to: Production Management, Marketing, BA/Legal, Programming, and Business Development Act with integrity and uphold Disney’s core values Required Qualifications & Skills Previous administrative experience is required as you will be managing a busy slate Sound editorial judgement when analysing scripts, pitches and development material A good knowledge of film and TV talent A willingness to learn and a positive approach to challenges Present a professional, empathic, calm conduct to internal and external partners Demonstrate a proactive and hard-working approach, with a keen attention to detail Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage workload Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft and Apple suite of tools including Outlook, Keynote, and PowerPoint Proficient in English Preferred Qualifications Additional languages are desirable but not essential The Perks 25 days annual leave Private medical insurance & dental care Free Park Entry: You will have the opportunity to enter any of our parks with your family and friends for free Disney Discounts: you are entitled to discounts on designated Disney products, resort F&B and ticketing Excellent parental and guardian leave Employee Resource Groups – WOMEN Disney, Disney DIVERSITY, Disney PRIDE, ENABLED, and our Mental Health & Wellbeing Group, TRUST.
