This role will require weekend working.
As a General Assistant in our Garden Care department, you will work alongside the existing team to deliver the best possible shopping experience to our customers. This will include managing products such as fertilisers, tools, compost, and hard landscaping. The role involves outdoor work, heavy lifting, and providing excellent customer service.
Main Duties:
1. Providing the best possible customer service by advising customers on products, answering queries, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
2. Processing deliveries, pricing stock, restocking shelves, and monitoring stock levels.
3. Maintaining high standards within the department by keeping displays tidy, organized, and safe for both customers and colleagues.
4. Supporting customers with heavy lifting.
5. Adhering to health and safety requirements.
Requirements of the Role:
1. Knowledge of gardening and retail is preferred.
2. Strong communication and customer service skills.
3. Ability to lift heavy items and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
4. Proactive, organized, and team-oriented, with a passion for gardening.
