Lead IT Support Analyst - Worthing, West Sussex (Office based) - up to £36,500 plus excellent benefits
My client are a nationwide company based in Worthing, in West Sussex who have a wonderful opportunity for an ambitious Lead IT Support Analyst who may have previous experience of mentoring a small team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a nationwide company as part of an agile dedicated team providing quality IT support to the group’s users across all its offices. This is an office-based role working with a talented and friendly multidisciplinary team.
The ideal applicant will be highly experienced in second line support and in this role you will deal with the more complex 2nd line and some 3rd line issues, whilst mentoring and supervising more junior staff. You will also work on IT related rollouts and projects and act as a liaison between the helpdesk, infrastructure and agile multidisciplinary software development team with responsibility for reporting into your senior managers.
You should be someone who is ambitious, for example, you may already be studying for your MCSE certifications, or you may have longer term aspirations of moving into management. You should also have strong IT troubleshooting skills and ideally previous supervisory experience within a helpdesk setting providing 1st, 2nd, and some 3rd line IT support. You will also have really great people skills and be looking for the next ‘step up’ in your IT career.
Essential experience and abilities
* Proven experience in first line support, and very strong second-line support, ideally with some third line support with the ability to supervise and mentor a small team, reporting into senior managers.
* Strong technical skills in repairing and maintaining PC equipment.
* Extensive knowledge of Windows and Windows Server.
* In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365 and Entra ID.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with staff at all levels.
* A calm and professional telephone manner, with a strong customer support focus.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* An ability to work flexibly in an exciting environment with a friendly team where one day is never the same
