Overview
Infinity Employment are seeking a skilled and experienced Pallet Network Supervisor to join a team of experts specialising in pallet network transport, general haulage, warehousing, 3PL and fulfilment. You will be responsible for the pallet network and logistics operations, ensuring smooth coordination of transport requirements for customers and third parties. Continual development of the department by implementing new technologies and procedures. Be the first point of contact for customers, network depots and drivers ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
Responsibilities
1. Manage and coordinate pallet network operations.
2. Plan and control logistics for client requirements.
3. Utilise IT systems to book and track transport efficiently.
4. Solve real-time logistics issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
5. Ensure legal compliance with tachograph legislation.
6. Maximise vehicle and driver utilisation.
7. Communicate with customers daily and monitor KPI status to ensure maximum achievement.
8. KPI Reporting to senior management and directors.
9. Deal with queries from all network depots and drivers, ensuring timely completion of actions raised.
10. Ensure all administration is completed to the required levels and within expected time frames, including but not limited to Insurance Claims and CORs, and provide clear and timely communication to customers.
11. Communicate effectively with Warehouse and Office teams to ensure key information is shared within reasonable time frames.
12. Continually develop new procedures that improve internal administration efficiencies within the Pallet Network team.
13. Develop and build relationships with all member depots.
14. Manage, mentor and develop Pallet Network Planner.
15. Attend Regional and National meetings.
16. Attend Award Events.
17. Liaise daily with the Network Planner to ensure resources are planned effectively with backup plans where relevant.
18. Provide daily update reporting to the Transport Manager on performance, developments, solutions and other relevant information.
19. Use forklift on Saturday shift and other occasional times (training provided).
20. Perform occasional tasks at the discretion of management and additional ad-hoc duties as required.
21. Achieve tasks as set out on a daily/weekly basis within the designated timeframe.
22. Ensure transport is always presented in a positive manner.
23. Comply with all existing company systems, procedures, and work practices.
24. Establish interpersonal relationships with the company's potential clients and existing clients, suppliers, and employees, providing exceptional customer service.
25. Ensure that information relating to the company and its clients remains confidential at all times.
26. Work to become a pro-active and independent employee supporting the needs of the business.
Skills
1. Pallet network-specific operations and HGV Driver/Staff management; must have the ability to work within a team and support the Pallet Network Planner.
2. Good communicator both verbal and written. Computer literate including Outlook and Internet-based systems.
3. Committed to maintaining safety standards and a healthy work environment.
4. Driving Licence (Cat B car) and Geographical Knowledge, especially of local areas.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 09:30-19:30 (normally 18:00 finish); must be flexible for 19:30 finish if needed.
Occasional Saturday AM - one in three.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
