Handover Manager (London Business)

Project Based/Office Based, with flexibility for occasional remote working
We are looking for an experienced and talented Handover Manager to assist Project Managers with the handover process across all contracts allocated within the London Business unit. This position is project-based, with flexibility for occasional remote working.

About the role:
You will be working within our Construction London & Home Counties business, where you will:
1. Establish and verify the contractual requirements for the project handover, with reference to the Building Contract and associated documents (Employers Requirements, Sustainability objectives, Statutory and 3rd party Approvals etc).
2. Develop a Handover plan which meets the contractual requirements and communicate and agree the handover plan with internal and external parties.
3. Be familiar with statutory approvals required for project completion (i.e., Planning conditions, Building Control Sign off etc).
4. Consider requirements for Sectional Handovers and PC, and develop a clear list of documentation requirements and allocate actions with timescales to ensure all documentation is available for key handover dates.
5. Liaise with tenants, end users, occupiers, building management teams etc. as required to achieve a smooth handover process and manage expectations.
6. Manage and monitor progress of handover process and documentation collation and report on progress internally and externally.
7. Be able to communicate with all members of the project team to challenge and agree actions.
8. Organise/provide training for Handover specific systems (i.e., E-Docs for O & M’s, 4Projects etc).
9. Coordinate the activities of the design team, contractors, and statutory bodies (e.g., Local Authority planners & Building Control/HSE) in line with programme critical dates.
10. Support the project team to achieve ‘Perfect Delivery’ by understanding the client’s requirements and communicating throughout the handover process.
11. Ability to work across multiple projects.
Ideally you will have:
1. Main contractor experience on various projects.
2. Experience of the handover process with the ability to independently establish and manage the liaison and process required to handover projects.
What are we looking for?
As an experienced Handover Manager, you will be HND/HNC/Degree qualified. Ability to lead and provide a professional, comprehensive, and sustainable handover service for the Client and Project team.
