A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Safeguarding and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team within the regional NHSE East of England team. We are looking for a registered professional who thrives as part of a team and is keen to further develop their knowledge within Safeguarding and SEND arena. The role will play a pivotal part of the team's success in leading the regions delivery and oversight of statutory responsibilities. The successful applicant will have a passion for quality improvement and assurance, willing to lead on regional projects whilst working in partnership with system leaders, have a strong knowledge and commitment to data analysis and interpretation, and demonstrate a curiosity in developing the Safeguarding and SEND agendas. The role will work closely with the regional Assistant Director for quality, nursing, and leadership and with the regional Safeguarding and SEND leads to provide subject area specialism and sound knowledge that enables the team to empower, support and challenge the local systems. The post holder will support all aspects of the Safeguarding, Mental Capacity and Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) statutory duties across the health and social care services in the region, working in close collaboration with NHS England - East of England directorates, National Safeguarding Team for NHS England, ICBs as well as a range of multi-agency partner agencies.The scope of the post will include the development of effective inter-disciplinary, multi-agency and inter-agency relationships to improve the outcomes of targeted and responsive Safeguarding, Mental Capacity and SEND provision. The role supports the business in driving transformation as well as value for moneyin planning,commissioningandservice.Theroleisdesignedtobuilda combinationofsubjectmatter specialism andtechnicalskillstodevelopastrong servicedelivery.
