About the role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Coordinator to support our UK&I Compliance & Insurance Team. This role involves monitoring compliance systems, managing documentation, and ensuring our drivers and vehicles meet internal and regulatory requirements.
You will be responsible for
Overseeing internal compliance systems, ensuring vehicles and drivers remain compliant. Generate reports and distribute them across all DFDS depots, identifying and escalating any anomalies.
Request, verify, and organise driver documentation (both company-employed and agency) to maintain compliance with policies and regulations.
Conduct regular reviews of driver records and equipment, ensuring adherence to company policies. Coordinate driver improvement courses following incidents.
Supporting the management team by overseeing insurance claims, collating necessary information, and ensuring timely reporting.
Working closely with Transport Managers and the compliance team to address and resolve any compliance-related issues, supporting operational efficiency.
About you
You are a detail-oriented and assertive individual with strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. While we use bespoke software, full training will be provided to ensure you’re confident in your role. Experience in fleet compliance, operator licensing, or insurance would be beneficial, but your ability to learn and adapt is just as important.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, pays close attention to detail, and isn’t afraid to take initiative. At our company, we believe diversity and inclusivity create the strongest teams. We value different perspectives, unique skills, and strong personalities, as they drive innovation and success. If you’re ready to contribute to a dynamic team and make a real impact, we’re excited to welcome you aboard!
We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. And we cannot wait for you to join.
